Le Fumoir at Bellevue Palace Bern is Switzerland's first American bar, established in 1913, and has been a meeting place where Bern encounters the world's celebrities and national politicians for over a century. This is an ideal meeting place for like-minded individuals seeking to enjoy a hand-rolled cigar in peace as an expression of a lifestyle. The fumoir is devoted to aficionados of fine tobacco, offering a wide choice of prime Cuban cigars including rare Cohibas and selected cigars from South American origins. Chilled drinks and culinary classics are served in the elegant surroundings to complete the experience. The Bellevue Palace itself is a historic landmark at Kochergasse 3-5, part of the Michel Reybier Hospitality group, and serves as the unofficial political meeting point of Switzerland. The bar takes guests on a journey through the cocktail history of the 20th century with iconic and modern drinks. From 5:00 PM onwards, a minimum consumption of CHF 30 per person applies for the Fumoir and smoking terrace (excluding hotel and restaurant guests who have already consumed this value). The venue offers both indoor fumoir seating and a dedicated smoking terrace. Dogs are welcome in the lobby, and smart casual dress code applies.
